With the release of the new KW V5 Coilover suspension, KW is focusing on its successful suspension technology for motorsports, featuring the KW Solid Piston technology and a modular design with damper valves connected in series. KW V5 provides precise and fast damping without delays in sports cars and supercars. The shock absorbers and valves react directly to even the slightest movement of the spring, the smallest steering adjustments, and minor road imperfections. Every driving maneuver and any input signal, such as those generated during braking, acceleration, steering, load changes, and road irregularities, is dampened much more precisely. KW monotube shock absorbers provide significantly more support for the chassis than standard shock absorbers, and therefore, depending on the vehicle's body style, allow the use of lower springs.

Unlike traditional shock absorbers with valves inside the inner tube, KW coilover systems and KW shock absorbers with a solid piston use a valve system that is separate from the shock absorber's inner tube and the piston rod. The low-speed and high-speed valve blocks in the KW V5 Coilover suspension offer the freedom of individual adjustment of compression and rebound damping. They are integrated with different types of valve springs and main valves, providing 14 precise clicks (14 distinct curves) for each in the low and high-speed ranges.
