CSF can utilize thinner, lighter aluminum material (with greater cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than conventional "O" style seam-soldered tubes. The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam-soldered) increases the heat exchange surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% compared to standard tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes compared to one larger tube under the same space constraints. With B-tubes, a "dual-row laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also utilizes highly efficient fin stock that is carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core.
