CSF can use thinner, lighter aluminum material (with greater cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than traditional "O" tube welds. The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam soldered) increases the surface area of the tubes' heat exchange by approximately 15% compared to standard tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes versus one larger tube within the same space criteria. With the B-tube, "dual laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also utilizes highly efficient louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core. Fin characteristics are carefully measured and calculated for each application and wind tunnel tested for maximum heat dissipation efficiency.
