These B-tubes are meticulously formed and then seam-soldered to seal them. CSF can use thinner, lighter aluminum material (with greater cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than standard welded "O" shaped tubes. The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam-soldered) increases the surface area of the tubes' heat exchange by approximately 15% compared to standard tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes versus one larger tube within the same space criteria. With the B-tubes, a "dual-core laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also utilizes highly efficient fin stock that is carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core. The fin characteristics are meticulously measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat dissipation efficiency in a wind tunnel laboratory.
