The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam-soldered) increases the surface area of the tubes' heat exchange by approximately 15% compared to conventional tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes compared to one larger tube within the same space criteria. With B-tubes, "dual-laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also utilizes highly efficient fin stock that is carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core. Fin characteristics are carefully measured and calculated for each application and are wind-tunnel tested for maximum heat dissipation efficiency.
