These B-tubes are carefully formed and then seam-soldered to seal them. CSF can use thinner, lighter aluminum material (with greater cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than standard "O" style welded tubes. The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam-soldered) increases the surface area of the tubes' heat exchange by approximately 15% compared to standard tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes compared to one larger tube under the same space constraints. With B-tubes, "dual-core laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also utilizes highly efficient louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core. Fin characteristics are carefully measured and calculated for each application and tested in a wind tunnel for maximum heat dissipation efficiency.
