The design (inlet opening in the middle of the tube, seam-soldered) increases the surface area of the tubes' heat exchange by approximately 15% compared to standard tubes – the efficiency of two smaller tubes compared to one larger tube under the same space constraints. With B-tubes, "dual-row laminar flow" can be achieved. CSF also uses highly efficient louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through the radiator core. Fin characteristics are carefully measured and calculated for each application and tested in a wind tunnel for maximum heat dissipation efficiency.
