CSF
Almost every Ferrari that has rolled off the assembly line in Maranello has become an icon in the automotive world. However, not all of them reach the same level of affection and status within the car community. While the Ferrari F355 may not command the same reverence as some others, it is incredibly loved and has an amazing community that supports it.
Like most cars built over 20 years ago, the Ferrari F355 is at an age where many critical components require replacement. While OEM radiators are still available, they can be quite expensive, and many owners are looking for a suitable upgrade for their collectible Italian supercars. CSF has listened to the community and has released the first reputable, high-performance, all-aluminum radiators for the F355.
When developing these radiators, CSF kept several key features in mind that were important to the Ferrari community: OEM Fit & Finish, Increased Performance, and Reliability.
CSF vs. OEM
Ferrari's original OEM F355 radiators utilize aluminum cores crimped onto plastic end tanks. While this design is considered quality and durable, it is significantly weaker than the all-aluminum, TIG-welded construction of the CSF radiators. Anyone who has restored/upgraded an older vehicle knows the importance of having upgraded parts that are as efficient as possible.
The CSF radiator features a 1-row, 31mm, all-aluminum core that not only increases the fluid capacity of the radiator but also improves the core's ability to dissipate heat. CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology increases heat transfer by approximately 15% compared to standard oval welded tubes. The ultra-efficient 6.5mm multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best performance. Additionally, CSF was able to fit 2 extra cooling tubes and rows of fins.
