While the J100’s 2UZ V8 engine may be reliable and easily capable of getting an SUV to 200k miles, there are many components that won’t last forever. Although the stock radiator does a decent job of keeping the engine cool during daily driving, the factory radiator still has its shortcomings. Furthermore, considering the age of these SUVs, you will almost certainly want to replace them before heading out into the wilderness. CSF has achieved unprecedented success in manufacturing heavy-duty, off-road radiators for Toyota trucks and SUVs. On most off-road vehicles, the factory cooling system components can easily be overwhelmed. This can be caused by high engine load during climbs or by debris clogging up some of the cooling fins. OEM vs. CSF

The 2-row, 42mm all-aluminum core not only increases the radiator's fluid capacity but also improves the core's ability to dissipate heat. CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology increases heat transfer by approximately 15% over standard oval welded tubes. Additionally, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for optimal performance.

The end tanks are constructed from high-grade aluminum and TIG welded to the core for added durability. In contrast, the OEM crimped plastic end tank construction is far weaker and creates failure points where breakage is more likely. As the CSF radiator is designed as a true "plug-and-play" unit, no modifications, cutting, or trimming are required for installation. Furthermore, the integrated oil cooler features a high-efficiency plate-style design and connects to the factory lines.
