BMW M drivers demand the best from their vehicles. While the BMW F87 M2 (N55) is highly capable on both the street and track, it suffers from overheating in extreme conditions. Extensive track testing has shown engine oil temperatures reaching 280℉, causing the M2 to enter limp mode. The CSF Oil Cooler was track tested in 103℉ ambient temperatures (115℉ heat index) and kept oil temperatures well below stock, with a maximum temperature of 240℉ recorded throughout the testing. The added cooling is achieved through a true "drop-in" design requiring no modifications for installation. It utilizes all factory components, including oil line connections, mounting brackets, and shroud/ducts. This is achieved by utilizing CSF's A/C condenser technology with a 26mm 1-Row high-pressure multi-flow micro-tube. The front, full-size cooler features 17 cooling tubes compared to the OEM's 15, and the rear cooler adds an additional 6 rows. This also increases the total oil capacity of the system by 0.5 quarts (0.47L).
