High-performance, all-aluminum auxiliary radiators work in conjunction with other cooling system components to reduce temperatures throughout the entire system. This is crucial as auxiliary radiators not only help lower engine water temperatures but are also utilized as the heat exchange medium in the intercooler air-to-water charge air coolers for turbo systems to reduce intake air temperatures (IAT). Overall, the increased capacity of the auxiliary radiators extends the thermal brink and helps maintain optimal temperatures. The included removable rock guard provides protection against debris buildup and potential core punctures – unlike OEM auxiliary radiators which offer minimal protection from external elements. CSF recommends purchasing two auxiliary radiators to replace both the left and right OEM units (for vehicles equipped with dual OEM radiators). For maximum cooling efficiency, we recommend installing these in conjunction with the front-mount CSF #8188 radiator.
