CSF's NEW "SUPER MANIFOLD" FOR A90/A91 SUPRA & BMW B58
CSF is proud to introduce its most advanced cooling solution to date – the all-new Charge-Air Cooler Manifold for the A90/A91 Toyota Supra and BMW G-Series (B58).
Over 1500 hours of design, prototyping, CNC machining, and testing have allowed CSF, in collaboration with partners VF Engineering (USA) and Custom Plenum Creations (Australia), to create a state-of-the-art, high-performance, CNC-machined charge-air cooler manifold for the B58 platform in the Mk5 Supra and BMW models. This product addresses a known weak point in the impressive new engine platform.
With increased and more efficient water-to-air intercooler performance, reduced system pressure drop, an included fuel rail, top-feed port injection kit, and several other industry-leading features, the CSF Super Manifold will allow B58 owners to maximize their vehicle's performance and push the boundaries of what was previously possible for this new platform.
The OEM B58 water-cooled charge-air intake manifold is adequate for vehicles with little to no modifications, but it begins to show significant weakness in vehicles with added modifications, turbo upgrades, increased fueling (such as port injection), and tuning. The stock intercooler system is also known to suffer from heat soak in demanding track conditions such as time attack, endurance racing, drag racing, and drifting, as well as aggressive street driving. This can lead to the vehicle pulling timing due to high Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) and then potentially entering "limp mode" once a certain threshold is reached, as the vehicle's ECU cuts power to protect the engine.
CSF conducted extensive dyno testing with R&D partner VF Engineering to validate performance improvements before bringing the new manifold to market. We performed over 50 tests on the same vehicle, on the same day, in relatively hot ambient conditions (~90°F), comparing the performance of the CSF and OEM charge-air cooler manifolds. Both the CSF and OEM coolers went through approximately 25 back-to-back dyno pulls every 30 seconds to measure sustained performance, heat soak resistance, recovery time, and impact on the turbo system's duty cycle.
CHARGE-AIR COOLER MANIFOLD FEATURES
*CSF pressure tests every #8200 / #8200C manifold at 60-70 PSI for 2-3 minutes during quality control and inspection. The CSF manifold is not designed to operate above 60 PSI. Any user who chooses to operate their vehicle with the CSF manifold above 60 PSI does so at their own risk. Operating at these pressure levels will void the CSF Limited Lifetime Warranty.
