CSF 8213 High Performance Intercooler for MCLAREN MP4-12C / 650S / 675LT

Both the OEM and CSF intercoolers feature 39 cooling tubes and 40 rows of fins. However, the CSF intercooler features a 54mm thick, 2-row core – a significant upgrade from the OEM's single-row core. The CSF core also utilizes CSF's proprietary B-Tube technology, which increases heat dissipation efficiency by approximately 15% over standard oval welded tubes. Additionally, the ultra-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for enhanced performance.

OEM intercoolers are all-metal but utilize a crimped and brazed construction that is weaker than CSF's TIG-welded design. CSF's all-aluminum, TIG-welded construction significantly increases the overall strength of the intercooler. This improves durability and reliability, ensuring it can withstand demanding operating conditions. The outlet tanks feature plugged 1/8 NPT temperature sensor ports for those who require more precise coolant temperature readings.

5-Pass Configuration

CSF intercoolers utilize a 5-pass configuration, allowing coolant to dwell within the charge cooling system longer, maximizing heat dissipation. Each pass extracts more heat, returning the fluid to the charge air coolers as close to ambient temperature as possible.

Plug and Play Installation

OEM foam strips are reused to seal and secure the intercoolers in the factory recesses and improve airflow. CSF intercoolers install in the factory mounting locations and require no modifications or trimming.

Protective Screens Included

CSF includes removable metal protective screens that replace the plastic OEM screens (McLaren OE: 11L0528CP). These upgraded screens provide enhanced protection and durability. This reduces the risk of cooling system damage from road debris.

CSF Intercoolers #8212 and #8213 fit all 12C, 650S/675LT, 570S/570GT/600LT, 720S/765LT, 750S, and GT/GTS models. There is an overlap in applicability for the 650S and 675LT, so it is recommended to verify with a dealer via VIN which intercoolers are required. The difference between the two intercooler models is the core height (distance between tanks). CSF #8212 (McLaren OE: 13L0183CP or 11L0375CP) is approximately 59mm (2.3 inches) taller than CSF #8213 (McLaren OE: 11L0241CP).
