Fits directly into the specified car models! The BigPack consists of an intercooler made entirely of aluminum, along with a complete package of 2.5” charge pipes and silicone hoses. This package replaces everything between the turbo and the throttle body, thereby providing drastically improved flow/cooling efficiency compared to the original. The intercooler is manufactured with CAD-designed, flow-optimized cast end tanks and a carefully selected core to achieve the best possible cooling effect with the lowest possible pressure drop! The charge pipes are made from 2.5” extruded stainless steel tubes that have been mandrel-bent to the correct shape! The pipes reverse the flow through the intercooler so that the air going up to the throttle body is drawn from the bottom of the intercooler. This piping routing is 60cm shorter than the original, which increases throttle response. Our charge pipe features a very secure mounting of the pressure and temperature sensors in a specially cast/machined flange on the lower charge pipe. The original mounting of these sensors often causes leakage problems at higher boost pressures than stock. Specially designed silicone hoses of the highest quality with 4-layer polyester/aramid reinforcement to withstand high temperatures and pressures. It is worth noting that the original intercooler and charge pipes were designed for the power the car had from the factory, and when increasing power or during very hard use of the car in its original configuration, their performance is no longer sufficient. So, even with increased boost pressure / software upgrade / chipping, our BigPack will provide improved performance! A common misconception is that you cannot get good cooling performance from an intercooler in the original position and that a front-mounted intercooler / FMIC would be much better. But in reality, the do88 BigPack is far superior to most FMIC installations where only a core with too small a cooling area can be fitted, and often with partially blocked airflow by, for example, crash bars, which in many cases can result in worse cooling performance than the original intercooler. The do88 BigPack comes with all necessary parts for installation in the car. Installation is done using original mounting points.
