Manufactured entirely from aluminum with CAD-designed flow-optimized cast end tanks and a carefully selected core to achieve the best possible cooling efficiency combined with the lowest possible pressure drop! It is worth noting that the original intercooler was designed for the power the car had from the factory, and with increased power or very hard use of the car in its original configuration, its performance is no longer sufficient. So, even with increased boost pressure / software upgrade / chipping, our intercooler will provide improved performance! The original intercooler has plastic end tanks that cannot withstand higher boost pressure for extended periods, which is why our intercooler also provides increased operational reliability. The do88 high-performance intercooler has 2.5” (63mm) hose connections instead of 2.25” (57mm) as the original intercooler has. We have chosen to have larger connections as we see a significant flow improvement. Therefore, two silicone hoses are included to replace the original hoses for the intercooler's inlet and outlet. A common misconception is that you cannot get good cooling efficiency from an intercooler with this placement and that a front-mounted intercooler / FMIC would be much better. But in reality, the do88 high-performance intercooler is far superior to most FMIC installations where only a core with too small a cooling area can be fitted, and often also with partially blocked air supply from, for example, a crash beam, which in many cases can result in worse cooling efficiency than the original intercooler. The do88 high-performance intercooler comes with all necessary parts for installation in the car. Everything is included for easy mounting. All brackets for the radiator, AC condenser, and air ducts are, of course, present on our intercooler.
