It's worth noting that the original intercooler was designed for the car's stock power output, and when increasing power, or during very hard use of the car in its original configuration, its performance is no longer sufficient. So, even with increased boost pressure/software upgrade/chipping, our intercooler will provide improved performance! The original intercooler has plastic end tanks that cannot withstand higher boost pressures for extended periods, which is why our intercooler also provides increased operational reliability.

The do88 high-performance intercooler has 2.5” (63mm) hose connections instead of 2.25” (57mm) as the original intercooler has. We have chosen larger connections as we see a significant flow improvement. Therefore, two silicone hoses are included to replace the original hoses for the intercooler's inlet and outlet.

A common misconception is that you cannot achieve good cooling performance from an intercooler with this placement and that a front-mounted intercooler/FMIC would be much better. But in reality, do88's high-performance intercooler is far superior to most FMIC installations where only a core with too small a cooling area can be fitted, and often with partially blocked air supply due to, for example, a crash bar, which in many cases can result in worse cooling performance than the original intercooler.

The do88 high-performance intercooler comes with all necessary parts for installation in the car. Everything is included for easy mounting. All brackets for the radiator, AC condenser, and air guides are, of course, present on our intercooler. Installation instructions, developed for Saab 9-3, are included as a guide.
