The GIRODISC A1-276 front brake disc kit is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM PCCB rotors on the Porsche 992 GT3 and GT3RS. For compatibility, it is necessary to use brake pads designed for iron rotors, similar to those used on the 991 GT3. This design allows for reduced rotor mass and offers a wider selection of brake pads with diverse performance characteristics.

The two-piece construction features a central hat made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and a rotor face crafted from proprietary cast iron, entirely manufactured in the USA. The internal ventilation system utilizes curved vanes to enhance cooling efficiency, particularly under demanding track conditions.

A floating mount system is employed, utilizing 12 cadmium-plated steel drive pins, Grade 12.9 fasteners, and anti-knockback springs. This design effectively manages thermal expansion and minimizes noise. During maintenance, only the cast iron rotor face needs replacement, without requiring the removal of the aluminum hat.
