GIRODISC A2-091 Rear Brake Rotor Kit for FORD Mustang GT500 (S197) 2013-2014

These two-piece GiroDisc rotors are a direct replacement for the rear rotors on the 2013-2014 FORD Mustang GT500 with the 5.8L engine. The fully floating 2-piece design helps reduce unsprung and rotating mass from the vehicle's rear axle.

The rotor rings are manufactured from GiroDisc's proprietary, high-carbon cast iron alloy. This superior manufacturing technology provides enhanced rotor strength, and the 48 curved vanes act as a centrifugal pump, pulling air through the hub to effectively cool the rotors during intense use. The two-piece design means a reusable hat that can be attached to new rings when they need to be replaced.

All major components, including the hats, rotor rings, and drive pins, are manufactured in Bellingham, Washington, USA, from high-quality materials. The hats are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a black anodizing. The drive pins are made from a high-strength steel alloy and are cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. All rotors are assembled with anti-rattle clips and Belleville washers, which provide stability in racing conditions while allowing for quiet street use.

The minimum thickness at which brake rotors are recommended to be replaced is 20mm. It is also recommended to replace them if a crack leads to the edge of the ring.

Note: These rotors are for the 2013-14 5.8L GT500 brake system with 350mm rear rotors only. These GiroDisc rear rotors are 22mm thick versus the factory 19mm, but this upgrade requires no modifications.
