GIRODISC A2-146 Rear Brake Rotor Kit for PORSCHE 991 / 992 GT3 / GT3RS / Cayman GT4 / GT4RS (380 mm)

The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OEM iron rotors on the 991 GT3 and GT3 RS. No modifications are required, and it allows the use of factory, unmodified pads, unlike most aftermarket solutions for this application. The rotor mounts directly to the car and works perfectly with the factory calipers. Upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance replacements, rather than a big brake kit, allows you to retain factory balance as well as ABS effectiveness.

The center hat of the rotor is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The rotor is made from proprietary cast iron, cast in the USA and machined in-house from start to finish at Girodisc. The rotor design utilizes race-developed curved vanes designed to act as a centrifugal pump, pushing cool air through the rotor.

The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system utilizing 12 high-strength, cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins to ensure long-term corrosion resistance. These pins take the braking load while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and rotor. The pins are secured with class 12.9 socket head cap screws with hardened washers. To prevent rotor noise when cold, anti-knockback springs are used on the pins on the rotor side, allowing the rotor to grow with thermal expansion but eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This floating design also allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.

Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
