CSF
CSF has engineered these radiators as a complete "Drop-in Fit" solution for easy installation, with the ability to mount on either the left or right side. Each radiator is designed to fit in the factory location and utilizes the original quick-connect fittings. The high-performance auxiliary radiators work in conjunction with the rest of the cooling system to lower temperatures. They not only help maintain temperatures within optimal ranges but also increase the thermal load threshold. There is nothing worse than having to cut a track session short due to needing to cool down.
Compared to the factory radiators, CSF units are a significant upgrade. The TIG-welded aluminum tanks are substantially larger than the stock plastic ones, providing increased durability and fluid capacity. An increased 2-row, 42mm thick core enhances cooling efficiency and capacity. The high-efficiency core utilizes CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology and advanced 5mm tall fins, which maximize airflow and heat dissipation. These 5mm fins significantly increase the surface area for heat exchange, improving cooling efficiency and recovery speed while maintaining optimal airflow.
With power levels exceeding 700 hp in many builds, the B58 engine experiences significantly elevated coolant temperatures. Once the safe threshold is breached, the B58 enters limp mode. This can ruin a race, track day, or simply the enjoyment of driving. CSF ensures the B58 runs stable at peak performance.
The 100% aluminum construction ensures high strength and reliability. The integrated mounting frame is substantially stronger and more durable than the factory plastic unit. An additional satin black coating provides protection and corrosion resistance.
For added durability, CSF radiators feature built-in rock guards to protect them from damage. OEM radiators frequently suffer punctures and fluid loss on the street or track. CSF reduces this risk by providing additional protection from road debris.
Some F3X 340i/440i and F2X M240i/M140i models did not come equipped with two auxiliary radiators. Please verify your VIN before ordering.
For F3X 340i/440i and M240i/M140i, there are three auxiliary radiator options available. CSF #8355 is a direct fit replacement for BMW 17-11-8-625-447. It can also replace BMW 17-11-7-628-057 and 17-11-7-600-697 with the use of the appropriate brackets. Vehicles without the 17-11-8-625-447 radiator may require minor ducting modifications. Models with the M Sport package and M Sport brakes should use 17-11-8-625-447, however, it is recommended to verify your VIN with a dealer for precise fitment.
The upper brackets are the same for all three radiator versions. The lower bracket part numbers are listed below. Please note: Separate frames (BMW 17-21-8-625-445) are not required as the CSF #8355 features an integrated design.
Does not fit BMW F87 M2 Competition with S55 engine (uses different radiators). For F87 M2 with N55 engine, one CSF #8355 is used on the left side. CSF #8104 – an oil cooler – is used on the right side.
